Notice and action
Report content
Tell us about a profile, a photo, a prompt answer or a private message that breaks the rules or breaks the law. Anyone can use this form. You do not need an account and you do not need to be signed in.
1. If someone is in danger
Call 112. That is the emergency number everywhere in Lithuania and across the EU. Do not wait for us to read a form.
If you believe there is a threat to someone's life or safety, we will report it to the Lithuanian police or prosecutor ourselves, straight away, with whatever information we have. Article 18 of the Digital Services Act requires that and we would do it anyway.
2. The form
This is the notice and action mechanism required by Article 16 of the Digital Services Act, Regulation (EU) 2022/2065. The five things it asks for are the five things that Article says a notice must contain.
How this actually works today
Roomly is a static website with no server of its own. When you press the button, your browser assembles the report, shows it to you in full, and opens your email program with it ready to send. You still have to press send.
If your email program does not open, copy the text and send it yourself to teisine@roomly.com. Nothing is lost either way.
Your report, reference
Your email program should have opened with this text in it. If it did not, copy the text below and send it to teisine@roomly.com. Keep the reference number.
Reports about crimes against children
Article 16(2) of the Digital Services Act says a notice about the offences in Articles 3 to 7 of Directive 2011/93/EU, which cover child sexual abuse and exploitation, does not have to carry your name or your email. If that is what you are reporting and you would rather stay anonymous, leave those fields with anything you like and send the report from any address, or go straight to the police. We act on it either way.
3. What happens next
- We confirm we got it. A person replies to your email address, without undue delay, quoting your reference.
- A person looks at it. No software decides. We read the content, the rules and, where it matters, the law.
- We decide, and we tell you. We say what we did and why, in a message you can keep. If we decided not to act, we say that too, and why.
- The other person is told. If we remove content or limit an account, that person gets a written statement of reasons under Article 17 of the Digital Services Act, and can appeal. See sections 8 and 9 of the Terms.
We aim to reply within 3 working days and to decide within 14 days. Something urgent, like a threat or a scam in progress, jumps the queue.
We do not use trusted flaggers, and we do not have to. Article 22 of the Digital Services Act does not apply to a micro enterprise like Roomly, under the Article 19 exemption. Every report is treated the same way: a person reads it.
4. Reporting a private message
You can report a private message. This form covers it and it is the same process.
Tell us who sent it and roughly when. It helps a lot if you paste the text of the message into the box, because that is what we will be looking at.
We can read the reported conversation in order to decide. We do not read conversations otherwise, and nothing scans them automatically. See section 11 of the Terms.
5. Other kinds of report
- Someone else's photograph or copyright
- Use this form, or email teisine@roomly.com. This includes the photographs on the five rental cards, which belong to Aruodas or to the advertiser. Say which listing it is and we will take it down. See content and image rights.
- Your own personal data
- Email teisine@roomly.com. Deletion, correction and access requests are handled there. See the Privacy Notice.
- You are an authority, a court or a police service
- Use the contact point on the Imprint and contacts page. That page also carries our contact point for terrorist content under Regulation (EU) 2021/784.
- You disagree with something we did to your account
- Email teisine@roomly.com. See section 9 of the Terms.
6. Please do not misuse this
Reports made in bad faith waste the time of the one person who reads them, and that time belongs to people with real problems.
If you repeatedly send reports that are clearly unfounded, we may stop processing them. We will tell you before we do, and we will tell you why.
